Up So High
It was like flying.
So bloody awesome.
I skipped to the right.
Whizzed to the left.
Spun madly downwards.
Climbed up again like a wraith.
Reached out to touch heaven.
For I wanted to be on the high peaks.
And I was, oh I was, I was.
I'm not a rich silver spoon boy.
You see I never went to Uni.
Nor got my Pilot's Licence.
Or joined the Royal Air Force.
Had so many teen problems.
Almost was too much.
But I overcame.
I still got to fly in the sky.
Looping, diving, rolling, turning...
Like an aeroplane or bird.
Totally free from the ground.
For now my flight was dancing.
To music that kept me alive.
I was the pilot.
I was the aeroplane.
I was the sky.
I was free.
Music made me fly and took me upwards.
In goth clubs and rock discos and gigs.
Music set me free.
I need no licence to fly.

Eight
Downpour (by Saurabh Pant)
Everywhere I spread my drops
Everywhere I still shatter like happy memories
Rain, rain, rain from every part of hope
Everywhere I can reach
