A Mother’s Tale

A Mother’s Tale
The mother of the small child told her story.
How her and her husband were taken for a night drive far from town.
How a bargain was made, their moped for his life.
How she begged for her life, please don’t kill me!
I’ve two small children.
Imagine her face, what was it like?
She thought the gun men were undercover cops.
One day later, outside the school, it happened.
Her husband was shot dead.
Not by one gun man nor one bullet.
Eleven gunshots to do the job, executing him.
He held up his hands before him.
One shot went thru his hand.
The rest hit him all over, ending his life.
A well-known dealer was killed.
His wife is now a widow and children fatherless.
He was known throughout the area.
This led to his downfall and death.
When you’re on the list, knock knock, bang bang.

The drug war is running in a town near you.
