Riga Light Climb
Riga had her ship nose up. It was climbing steeply through a white hazy cloudy sky with little for reference except the bright light up ahead. The light of God or creation or Gridfire. Nose straight up climbing fast and hard. Like fucking. How she liked it! She was strapped into her flight seat with a small yet strong harness. Her left hand pushed the control forward and she increased the power. Haze and cloud sped passed her open viewing window. The light brightened. She imagined her father was there. Up ahead through the hazy cloud in and past the light. That's where her dad was! Riga shook her head and cleared it, wiped away tears. She focused and thought. Not now but later. I will see you later father and deal with these emotions. For now I will focus and fly. Fly to the light. Up and up faster and faster. She was doing one hundred thousand miles per hour in an atmosphere of helium gas. It was above a huge planet that should of combusted and made nuclear fusion to be a sun. Yet for some reason it hadn't. It was a beautiful massive gas giant. The atmosphere was immense thousands of miles high. The light she was speeding to. What was it? Was it Heaven? She would soon find out. She had to shield her eyes it was so bright. She tinted the window so it was easier to see. Surely, she should be in orbit now? Escape velocity. This sky was huge thousands of miles thick or high. How wide was the planet? The diameter must be immense. She brought up the computer and numbers appeared on her display. The blue figures spoke of an immense planetary body. Riga shook her head. That was the biggest damn thing in the galaxy! Fucking Hell. Suddenly she was free of the clouds haze and into the light. It was so immense. Beyond words. Her speed ceased or seemed too. The read out still said over 100k miles per hour. It was like she was stationery. And it never felt like she was sat on her back in a spaceship that was going up vertically. She'd reached escape velocity and was in space. Yet this space was so bright. She killed the power and the speed rapidly dropped off. Soon it hovered at zero. She stabilized and levelled the ship. Unfastening her harness she left her seat and went over to the viewing window. There the small gal was looking out at a huge bright white light. It wasn't painful to look at. There was no focal point. It was everywhere. Not like looking at the sun. And then she saw a figure. She thought it was alien first but the size was wrong. It came closer. Riga remained by the window. It was one way. Nobody could watch here. She drew a breath and flinched. The humanoid came closer. Till it was metres away. No longer hidden by the white light. No, it cannot be! My father. Oh, my goodness. My father. How can that be possible?! You died. That was over a year ago. Then I was ill and left my boyfriend as my fucking world collapsed. Then the crazy witch gave me her spaceship. All of this is insanity. This all must be a dream. Tell me it's a dream father. Am I asleep? No Riga. You are very much awake. You are far from Earth. This place exists in a different reality. Here things are simply different. It's good to see you. Please don't be sad or cry. All things will be ok. You will see. Have faith. You are a Light Worker with an important job to do. Please don't ever stop believing. I will always be with you and have your back. I will spend some time with you. Then you must return to where you came from. Don't cry Riga. It's all right. Tried me on this. I may have died but I am always with you and your sister and your daughters. You need to see them. They miss you. When you go back go and see them. It's important. Listen Riga, I have something important to tell you. Please listen to me closely my child...
