Mars Pilot

At a space port on the Moon something happened

A shuttle pilot went for a meal after a long flight from Mars

He stopped in the canteen for Indian curry and chips

While there he saw his ex lover who said Hi

He sat with her and ate his food while she gamed

She was an avid gamer and got many credits from it

No words were said and the pilot finished eating

He sat there waiting for her to speak but she remained quiet

He mentioned his flight and she just grunted

Then he got his radio and dialled in his new lover

She picked up and they started talking about the new war

On Earth North and South were fighting in another silly war

A different pilot came in from a Jupiter mission

This one greeted the ex who she smiled and waved

The Jupiter pilot sat down and ate his own meal

The Mars pilot kept talking to his new love interest

His ex got up and joined the other shuttle pilot!

They immediately made small talk and were close

By comparison his ex was cold to him

Even if she said they were friends it was crap

She never radioed him or made conversation

Or joked or shared personal details or more

And here she was with the other pilot doing all that!

The Mars pilot remained sitting alone ignoring them

He continued his call for minutes then got up and left

He never looked back and shut them from his mind

His flirts with his new lover were going just fine…

 

 

 

 

Old Opposites

It is time to let go and move on. Like the F4 pilot now flying an F15. He still yearns for that old jet. It was a legend. Yet his Eagle will be an even greater legend than his beloved Phantom. It's the same with gals. The same pilot still loves and remembers his old flame. Even though he met a new one. The old one says Hi to him but ignores him and is cold. She sits with her friends laughing and joking. Totally the opposite of how she treats the pilot. He feels sad and tries to move on. He thinks of planes and his Eagle and his new lover. Life has moved on and isn't too bad. Yet he still misses you know who. She maybe old and small just like an F4 when compared to the Eagle. That modern Eagle plane unlike anything before or since. Like his new galfriend is unlike his ex. So why does he miss and still love the old lover? When he has a new younger lover who rocks and rolls with the best of them? The same as his love for the Phantom compared to the Eagle. Talk about comparisons. Both totally valid. He was aware of the old elements not being worse than the newer ones. Far from it. His ex was still potent and alluring. The F4 could still kick butt. If only it as clear cut like night and day. He would focus on his new gal and just adore the Eagle. Had his ex gotten into his head on purpose? Just like those cool lines of the old F4 jet. Why was it like that? He needed a night with his new lover and to fly his F15 balls to the wall and get both his ex and the old F4 out of his system for good.
