On the concept of basing a character on a real person. For me this is my character Riga. Riga is based on ****** who is a real person. Real in every single way. As real as Riga is. Yet real is fiction. At least having a flying saucer, magical powers and being to travel in outer space. This is where real life and stories blur. I try to make them real. Did I succeed? You tell me. Are the Riga flying scenes real? Is the description of a fusion reactor real? What of the sex scenes? Would the real Riga be such an intense lover? And what of her critical thinking and bad moods? Where is the cross. Over and where is the line? Reality morphed into fiction. And vice versa. Riga book 7 is on the way. As with all my other fictional characters I did my best. Read my Riga books and head to the stars. After all, we are all star children.
